ZOETIS
Modified live. VANGUARD DAMP is for vaccination of healthy puppies 6–12 weeks of age as an aid in preventing canine distemper (CD) caused by canine distemper virus, infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) caused by canine adenovirus-1 (CAV-1), respiratory disease caused by CAV-2 and canine parainfluenza (CPI) caused by CPI virus. The measles virus component helps provide heterotypic immunity against CD virus in puppies regardless of circulating CD antibody levels. Heterotypic immunity should not be relied on for protection after 16 weeks of age. It contains highly attenuated strains of CD virus, human measles virus, canine adenovirus-2 (CAV-2) and canine parainfluenza (CPI) virus. The CAV-2 component cross-immunizes against CAV-1 and immunizes against CAV-2.
