It is an EPA-approved peroxyacetic acid-based sanitizer/disinfectant approved for use on food-contact surfaces and equipment. Labelled, and proven effective against a wide variety of human pathogens. At its recommended usage concentration, Peraside has demonstrated greater than 99.999% reduction of organisms after 60 second exposure period in the AOAC Germicidal and Detergent Sanitizing Action of Disinfectants test. Peraside is also safe, as it breaks down into just oxygen and water after its application. Peraside can be used as a terminal descaler of water lines to remove tough mineral and metal build-up without clogging drinker nipples.
