Inactivating whole cultures of L. canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona, aluminum hydroxide adsorbed.
Indications: For vaccination of healthy cattle and swine in areas where the serotypes named are known to be prevalent.
Dosage and Administration: Shake well. Aseptically inject 2.0 mL subcutaneously or intramuscularly. For swine, a second dose should be administered 2-4 weeks later. Annual re-vaccination is recommended for both species.
When to Vaccinate: Vaccination of both cattle and swine at least 3 weeks prior to breeding is recommended (1) on premises having a history of leptospirosis (2) when the disease exists in the area, and (3) when animals may be exposed to carriers of the micro-organisms.
